The Chief Justice, Justice Gertrude Sackey Torkornoo, has met with members of the Judicial Press Corps at the Media Room of the Law Court Complex in Accra. The purpose was to share with them information on the work the Judiciary has been doing since she took over its administration in June last year, to give the people of Ghana effective justice.

The Chief Justice, Justice Gertrude Sackey Torkornoo has received ICT Equipment from GIZ, on behalf of the Judicial Service of Ghana (JSG), to facilitate the work of the E-Judgment Secretariat. The items are; Twenty-Five (25) laptop computers and six (6) scanners.

A delegation from the Zenith University Law Students Association (ZUC-LSA) has  paid a courtesy call on theChief Justice, Justice Gertrude Sackey Torkornoo as part of the Association’s  Law Week Celebration and also to congratulate her on her elevation to the High Office of Chief Justice of Ghana.

The Chief Justice of the Republic Her Ladyship Justice Gertrude Sackey Torkornoo has been honoured by The Zonta Club of Accra; for her impactful work, dedication to the cause of justice and significant contribution to society at large. This was at a brief ceremony held at the Chief Justice’s Conference room in Accra, as part of the Club’s activities to mark International Women’s Day.

The Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Justice Gertrude Sackey Torkornoo has sworn-in twenty three (23) new Magistrates onto the Bench, with the admonition that they must be prepared to work in any part of the country. ‘You must be ready to accept postings to any part of the country since your services are needed everywhere in Ghana’

A 13-member delegation from the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana (CITG), led by its President, Mr. George Ohene Kwatia, has paid a courtesy call on Her Ladyship the Chief Justice, Gertrude Sackey Torkornoo at the Chief Justice’s Conference Room in Accra.

The Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Justice Gertrude Sackey Torkornoo, has appealed to media practitioners to avoid unnecessary sensationalism in daily court reportage and ahead of the 2024 general elections.
