The exercise began with an early morning health walk from the Law Court Complex, where Supreme Court judges, judicial staff, and members of the Greater Accra Regional Bar Association trekked through the central business district before setting up a makeshift legal clinic in the heart of Makola Market. His Lordship Justice Richard Adjei-Frimpong, a Supreme Court Judge and Chairman of the Anniversary Planning Committee, noted that the event was a deliberate effort to humanize the court, stating that the Supreme Court has lived in seclusion for far too long and needs to find ways to make ordinary citizens feel part of it.

At the market, a dedicated team of legal professionals offered free counseling on pressing public issues, including spousal property rights, child custody, intestate succession, and debt recovery. Commenting on the initiative, Justice Afia Serwah Asare-Botwe of the Court of Appeal highlighted that while market women drive the economy, many suffer in silence with legal disputes because the courts feel too complex, reassuring them that the law is there to protect their hard work. Mr. Samuel Afotey Otu, President of the Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG), added that court staff stand firmly behind the vision of building a user-friendly Judiciary where ordinary citizens feel genuinely welcome.

The leadership of the Makola Market Women's Association expressed profound gratitude for the unprecedented initiative. Traders noted that the direct outreach successfully stripped away the fear surrounding formal legal processes, leaving them feeling empowered to confidently protect both their families and their businesses.
