Challenges Facing ADR Practice

The GNAAP President outlined key challenges affecting ADR practice nationwide, including inadequate office space, low public awareness of Court-Connected ADR, and a shortage of trained mediators.

Judiciary Calls for Stronger Coordination

Responding to the concerns, the Judicial Secretary proposed the appointment of a liaison officer to the GNAAP Board to enhance coordination between the two institutions. He also cautioned against unauthorized mediation by untrained individuals, stressing that ADR practice must align with the 1992 Constitution and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act.
